Funding for the Conanicut Island Raptor Project is provided by private donations and grants to the Jamestown Education Foundation, a 501 ( c ) ( 3 ) non- profit corporation. Plans for 2005/06:

Follow the winter migration of a Jamestown osprey on line with CIRP. CIRP will fit a 2005 fledgling from the Marsh Meadows nest with a satellite transmitter. Funding is needed for the ARGOS tracking service.
Observe the osprey in their nest at Marsh Meadows. CIRP will build and install a handicapped-accessible observation deck in the parking lot of the Water Treatment Plant, just across North Road from the nest. A spotting telescope has been donated for public viewing of nest activity. Funding is needed for the deck and educational signs.
