For the second time in two years we've been able to fit a juvenile from the creek nest with a satellite transmitter in order to track its winter migration.  The capture and "fitting" took place Saturday July 29th and was again handled by Rob Bierregaard who is a biology professor from UNC Charlotte.To follow the progress of area osprey, click on osprey tracking project, which shows the migrations of several osprey from Martha's Vineyard, Massachusetts as well as last year's recruit, Conanicus, and this years newly tagged male, Comet.
